Futuristic hotels which leave us...speechless!

Futuristic hotels which leave us...speechless!

A lot of research is carried out regarding the future trends of the tourist sector, as well as, the futuristic hotels planned to be constructed and which are based on the philosophy of supreme environmental consciousness…

It is not long before the tourist sector will be number one in the list of developing industries in the world and way above the weapon industry, the petrol industry and even the cigarette and alcohol industry. This is definitely some good news, plus the fact that the tourism industry in the future will acquire a far more strenuous ecological character, awarding hotels that not only provide the highest level of services but those which cause the least damage to the environment.

Among the negative outcomes of this research, is the fact that due to globalization, more and more countries will look absolutely the same and as a result the tourist of the 21st century will find it hard to be…thrilled by anything new or different because simply enough there won’t be such a thing anymore.

In the meantime, the architectural ground plans and the presented models of futuristic hotels leave us absolutely speechless! Like, for example Waterworld which is planned to be built in China. A hotel offering 400 luxury rooms and submerged guest rooms in total harmony with the surrounding natural environment.

Or the hotel chain of Oil Rigs which aims at transforming former oil rigs in various parts of the world into luxurious resorts in the middle of the ocean, with easy access for large cruise ships, endless choice of water sports and magnificent views to the "big blue".

And, what could we say about Water Discus Hotel to be constructed in Dubai? A totally futuristic building that not even a tsunami could bring down…

But…there is always a “but”. Research has also shown that the tourist of the future will be eager and willing to find any kind of experience to remind him of the “good old times” and convey him back to the past. He will be willing to pay thousands and thousands in order to go somewhere, where contemporary civilization will not be able to reach him. Should the companies of hitech industrial planning and construction take this into account? Conclusions are yours to make.
