Santorini wines awarded at the 13th International Wine Competition

Awards keep streaming in for the wines of Santorini, with three more Golden Medals won by SantoWines at the 13th International Wine Competition of Thessaloniki.

The wines NIHTERI 2012, VINSANTO 4 and 8 years of oldness were awarded with golden medals.

NIHTERI 2012 belongs to the category of dry wines of the SantoWines labels and its golden nomination coincides with the Union of Santorini Cooperatives’s orientation willing to become more extroverted and enter a new era in its history.

The characteristic acidity of NIHTERI 2012, its unique metallic taste and its peppery aftertaste, left testers with the best impression and really highlighted the island’s special tradition in winery.

The other two gold medals which were respectively awarded to VINSANTO 4 and VINSANTO 8 years of oldness, confirmed the impressive tradition of SantoWines in the category of sweet wines too.

The triple gold nomination of SantoWines Winery constitutes an astonishing head start for 2013, confirming the dynamics of the Union of Santorini Cooperatives.
