Race for the cure: Street racing and walking with a substantial meaning
Many women globally fight against breast cancer. The Panhellenic Organization of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois" invites us all to join the 5th breast cancer Greece Race for the Cure® on Sunday September 29th 2013 at Zappeion which consists of a 5 km Street Race and a 2 km Walk.
Race for the Cure® is the most significant awareness initiative and fundraising event for the prevention of breast cancer globally. It has been organized by the American organization Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for the past 30 years in more than 140 cities in the world.
Men, women and children participate together by sending their own message against breast cancer!

- 8.00-10.30 Live Dj set by radio station Easy 97,2 fm
- 8.00-11.15 Registration
- 9.00-11.00 Children’s entertainment – Event "For my Mother" - Face Painting and other Activities
- 10.30 Start of the Event with the team Survivors
- 10.40 Welcoming speech by TV presenter Mrs. Eleonora Meleti
- 10.45 Dancing session for everyone by known dancer Mr. Panos Metaxopoulos
- 11.00 Greeting and presentation of Event
- 11.05 President of the Panhellenic Organization of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois" Mrs Kleopatra Gavriilidou
- 11.10 Music by Batala Atenas
- 11.30 Start of the 5 Km Street Race
- 11.35 Start of the 2 Km Walk
- 12.35 Awards:
- Winner Men’s Running & Winner Women’s Running. The award will be given by Mrs Maria Belibassaki, Greek Champion of 100 & 200 meters.
- 1st survivor runner. The award will be given by Mrs Kleopatra Gavriilidou, President of the Panhellenic Organization of Women with Breast Cancer "Alma Zois"
