The coming weekend in Zagori is dedicated to all mushroom friends and nature lovers. The 8th Epirus Mushroom Festival is held on 3rd, 4th and 5th of June at Ano Pedina of Zagori and it has everything: mushroom hunting in the beautiful surrounding mountains, mushroom exhibition, dance, music, speeches and flavors.

The festival is organized annually by the Mushroom friends Epirus Association, a club with over 250 members, known not only for collecting mushrooms, but also for its activities with the aim to the protection of the mushrooms.

On Friday 3rd of June, there will be a discussion around mushrooms, accompanied with barbeque and live music. On Saturday 4th of June the mushroom hunting starts, while it finishes on Sunday the 5th of June.
