Week of Visual & Culinary Art at the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation

The B & Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts & Music,the Hellenic ChefAssociation and the firm Yoleni’s LTD, join forces and organize together the 1st Week of Visual & Culinary Art between the 5th and 11th of May 2014. 

The Executive Chefof the Hellenic ChefAssociation, use products by Greek producers via the online delicatessen www.yolenis.com and present visitors with Mediterranean recipes from as many as seven distinct regions / cuisines across Greece: the Aegean, Crete, Eptanisa islands in the Ionian Sea, Macedonia & Thrace, Epirus, Thessaly and Sterea Ellada – the Greek Midlands. 

Guests visiting Café Merlin of the B & Theocharakis Foundation -that overlooks the National Gardens-, will have the opportunity to taste unique and authentic dishes of regional Greek cuisine and special products, between 13.00 - 15.00 on a daily basis during the week.

In promoting authentic Greek cuisine, particular Greek products will be exhibited as artistic pieces imitating art, such as caramel, sugar, butter, vegetables and chocolate.

A group of passionate young people created www.yolenis.com in December 2013. A pioneering online delicatessen presenting products from across Greece : Almost 900 local products from 120 reputable producers of the Greek countryside and a plethora of delicious recipes with smart combinations of food and drinks, are showcased in a user-friendly website packed with great photographic material and informative videos.
