Messinia too, waves the flag of the leading gastronomic destination for 2013
After the announcement of 2013 as the "year of gastronomy" in Santorini, Messinia adds on to the list of regions promising a delicious year.
It all started in the island of Santorini, which only a few months ago decided to announce the year 2013 as “The year of Gastronomy”, thus, giving its visitors numerous opportunities to be marvelously dined with delectable dishes and wined with its ambrosia.
The county of Messinia, thought along the same lines and decided to dedicate this year on an emphasis of its gastronomic tradition and the further promotion of some of its most popular locally sourced products, such as the extra virgin olive oil, the olives and the wine.
