The newest ski resort in Greece opened very recently and just before the Christmas season - 22^nd of December - as a gift to the visitors of the area and the fans of winter sports! We find it only 50 km away from the city of Ioannina, in the region of Epirus in northern Greece, and at a mere 6 km from the beautiful village of Metsovo.

Anilio Ski Resort near the village of Metsovo is the brand new destination for ski and snowboard lovers but also if you wish to play in the snow with the children. It is located at the crossroad of the regions of Epirus and Makedonia and you will access it very easily via the autoroute of Egnatia Odos.

Anilio is at an altitude of 1.850 meters and the available ski runs will cover all levels of ability to the sport. It is equipped with a double-seat lift of 800 meters, two baby lifts as well as two additional new lifts of 280 and 300 meters which just started operating.    

At the resort you will also find a ski shop for the rental of any equipment you may need, sleighs for children, ski schools and plenty of instructors, as well as, an exquisite stone-built chalet which spreads over two levels and has two large fireplaces. You will absolutely love its view to the ski runs and to the distant areas of Zagorohoria, Metsovo and Tzoumerka. Apart from the hot beverages which will warm you up during your break, the menu also lists delicious traditional pies and the local alcoholic drink of “tsipouro” which you should definitely try but in small doses!
