Papigo village is the definition of a Greek, mountainous village...and if our question about it was “Just how beautiful can this Greek, mountainous village be?”, then without doubt the sole answer would be “as much as one can bear”...

Papigo village is at the outskirts of the city of Ioannina plotting over the slopes of Mountain Timphi at an altitude of almost 1.000 meters. 

Papigo village has two distinct settlements - Mikro (small) Papigo and Megalo (large) Papigo – with about 350 permanent residents. Due to the fact that they both present important specimens of the Zagori architectural style they are acknowledged as traditional and preserved settlements.
