Clean Monday today and the Greek Orthodox church enters the Lent season of “Sarakosti”. The Greeks celebrate the day which is called the "Koulouma" by driving towards nature and by flying a kite. Food-wise they eat the "lagana" bread typical of the day, as well as, plenty of fish roe ‘taramosalata”, all of the seafoods, olives, pickles, fresh vegetables and semolina “halva”.
