Delphi: Traveling in the center of the earth

Myths and reality match to praise its greatness. The center of the world, the most famous oracle of antiquity, and a World Cultural Heritage Site of UNESCO since 1972, invites us on a journey to the place of the gods. We travel to Delphi to feel the awe of the landscape and leave the place with our own oracle.

According to the legend, Zeus sent two eagles in opposite directions to indicate the navel of the earth. Meanwhile, the god Apollo transformed into a dolphin and killed the dragon called Python who guarded the temple of the goddess Gaia at Delphi, and then founded his own sanctuary. Since then, thousands oracles have been guessed, and until today we feel the tranquility and the almost "divine" vibration of the place.

Monuments all around us. We admire the sanctuary of Athena Pronaia with the Dome, the Gymnasium, the arena, the baths of the classical period and the Roman baths. And of course the temple of Apollo in the sanctuary, where Pythia gave the oracles.

After, we discover Korikio Cave, a magnificent cave of Parnassus mountain with rich history and impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Then we walk in the footsteps of Pausanias, following the ancient path from Delphi to Kroki position.

Meanwhile, the Archaeological Museum of Delphi undoubtedly is worth our visit, as it is considered one of the most important museums in Greece. There, we admire the famous Charioteer of Delphi, which attracts thousands of visitors to the museum.
