"Theran Warriors Exhibition" at the Estia Cultural Center in Santorini

The most emotional exhibition of summer 2014 was inaugurated on the 17th of September at the exhibition space of Estia Cultural Center at the central square of Pyrgos settlement in the heart of Santorini. The exhibition is curated by archeologist Lefteris Zorzos and titled "Theran Warriors” – Register of the period 1900-1938. The warriors participated at the 1st and 2nd Balkan Wars, as well as, WW1 and the Asia Minor campaign.
The exhibition was inaugurated with great success and attracted the attention of the island’s inhabitants regardless of their age who were related, somehow, to those 123 Theran Warriors... There they had the opportunity to learn the facts of their ancestor’s great contribution. The exhibition will last until the 12th of October and is really worthy to visit if you are on the island for that period. Hours of operation: Daily between 9:00-13:00 and 18:00-21:00.
