Where to enjoy the August full moon in Greece

A total of 105 archaeological sites and monuments throughout Greece will be open to the public, as part of a series of events under the August Full Moon.

From the 5th to the 9th of August and with a peak on Monday 7th August, monuments, museums and archaeological sites will host concerts, poetry nights, exhibitions, dance performances, and observation of the starry sky.

On August 7th, the Acropolis Museum will be open from 8pm to midnight, hosting a concert of Manolis Mitsias at 9pm. At the same time, the Archaeological Museum of Piraeus presents "Melodies in the Full Moon" with soprano Vasa Zacharopoulou, tenor Dimitris Pachsoglou and The Underground Youth Orchestra at 21.00. At the same time, the Café of the Numismatic Museum presents Andriana Babali and her female band at 21: 00. Also, the archaeological sites of Acropolis and Sounio will remain open until midnight.

The event at Rokka in Kissamos, Chania will be of particular interest on the 7th of August hosting the symphonic concert with soprano Myrto Papathanasiou, bass Christophoros Stamboglis and the Athenian Youth Symphony Orchestra of ASON, under the Address of the conductor Pavlos Sergiou.
