Spetses Mini Marathon, the established three-day sport event in the heart of the Saronic Gulf, that has become a favorite activity for Greek and foreign participants, returns on Spetses island for sixth consecutive year from October 7 to October 9.

Spetses mini Marathon following a record-breaking, anniversary, 5th year and having received many distinctions in Social Media Awards, Tourism Awards and European Business Awards, will attract the best athletes along with 5,000-7,000 participants and 12,000 visitors in total for one more year between October 7-9, 2016.

Each course and event is chosen and planned in order to highlight the natural and architectural beauty, as well as the rich culture of Spetses.

Hospitality sponsor of the event is the emblematic Poseidonion Grand Hotel, which is a leader to all cultural and social initiatives of the island. At the same time, Spetses mini Marathon is under the auspices of the Greek Tourism Organization and the Municipality of Spetses.

The hotel also supports the initiative of the Make-a-Wish Foundation with its Swim-For-Wishes initiative. As part of the “Charity4U” organised by Holmes Place athlete and Foundation volunteer Panos Vasilaras will attempt to swim around the island to raise awareness and funds.
