Autumn getaway in the region of Mani, at the atmospheric Kyrimai Hotel

One of the destinations you should definitely visit this autumn is the region of Gerolimenas in Mani in the Peloponnese and, in particular, Kyrimai Hotel – a member of Trésor Hotels & Resorts.

Its magical location at the beach front and next to the rock of Cavo Grosso adds ounces to its overall atmospheric aesthetics. Kyrimai Hotel exists in perfect harmony with the majestic landscape of Mani and embraces guests with true hospitality. The hotel’s restaurant is yet another reason to select it and taste the creations of multi-award winning chef Christoforos Peskias who praises the local products.

During your stay, explore this impressive region as much as you can. The little port of Gerolimenas in Mani itself, has been considered by the Greek and foreign media as one of the leading off-the-beaten-track destinations in the Mediterranean!

If the weather is nice, begin your day with a rich breakfast and a brisk swim at either the magnificent pool or the beach of Gerolimenas. The inner part of the homonymous village is truly beautiful and you can walk its little streets while admiring the architecture of the local tower-houses. Another beach worth visiting nearby is the sandy Marmari beach or indeed the beaches of Almyros and Kapi a bit further away. For fresh fish, stay at the port of Gerolimenas or head to Porto Cayo.

In your excursions you should certainly include: A visit to Vathia village, a road trip to Cape Tainaro to admire its impressive lighthouse, a closer look within the Cave of Hades and a drive to Githio. The small town of Githio is at 50 Km away and there you will walk amidst fantastic tower-houses. Near the city, stunning beaches offer for a cool September dive. Last but not least, do not omit a visit to the famous caves of Dyros on the way to Aeropolis.
