Kyrimai Hotel, the multi awarded boutique hotel in Gerolimenas of Mani is the best historic gourmet hotel for 2018! In a ceremony that took place on 20 November 2018 at the legendary Barberstown Castle near Dublin, Ireland, the boutique treasure of Kyrimai won the Historic Hotel Gourmet Award 2018 at the annual Historic Hotels of Europe awards.

The award rewards the efforts of the historic hotel to promote local gastronomy through the creative cuisine of Chef Stavriani Zervakakou, who gives emphasis on the local products and the traditional flavours.

Kyrimai's menu combines familiar, traditional tastes with a sense of innovation, while the dishes aim to please the modern visitor, but also give him or her an authentic experience of Mani’s joys and culture. The restaurant's cuisine explores the numerous aspects of Mani's gastronomic history and impresses with its unexpectedly modern and unusual character.

The Kyrimai chefs readopt the Maniot sofra – the low, round table around which Maniot families used to prepare and eat their dinner, introducing visitors to the unique local gastronomic culture and making food taste better than ever.

Stavriani Zervakakou plays a great role, evolving Mani's flavors in a fresh and unique way, based on the products of the earth and the memories she has from the scents and tastes of her grandmothers. The philosophy of her cuisine is based on locality and seasonality.
