Livin Mykonos review on the prestigious newspaper Telegraph

"Boutique hotel Livin Mykonos, located on the outskirts of Mykonos Town, features impressive minimalist design, friendly personalised service and a uniquely ambient pool area boasting a fantastic sunset view." Following an invitation of Tresor Hotels & Resorts, Marissa Tejada, travel writer of the prestigious newspaper Telegraph, enjoyed the hospitality of Livin Mykonos and wrote her review on Telegraph's website.

The writer gets impressed by the hotel's style and character, mentioning that it is minimalistic with influences from whitewashed Cycladic-style architecture. "Complementing tones of beiges and greys, and a mix of modern wood furniture add a touch of warmth to the overall design."

Meanwhile, the Telegraph’s writer rates with 8/10 Livin Mykonos’ cuisine, pointing out that the hotel’s poolside restaurant serves excellent dishes at very reasonable prices. “Menu items are a mix of international and Mediterranean cuisine, including a penne pasta with chicken and Mediterranean vegetables, and a hearty rib eye with a broccoli puree, radicchio salad and gorgonzola. The pool area is also ideal for a pre-dinner sunset drink where the angle towards the summer sunset is spot on, offering a mesmerising far-off view of the Aegean Sea.” As far as breakfast is concerned, the review mentions the tidy buffet of fresh pastries, bread, fresh fruit, cereal, cooked egg selections and meats. “There are also Greek breakfast favourites including traditional Greek sweets like rizogalo (rice pudding) and Greek yoghurt with honey.”

Concerning the hotel’s service, Telegraph’s review of Livin Mykonos points out that staff are warm and friendly at check-in, knowledgeable about the region, while pool service is attentive. “Concierge services can arrange car rental, airport transfers, boat tours, snorkelling and sailing excursions, plus helicopter and private jet services. In-room massage services can be arranged. There is free, on-site parking as well.” “The hotel entrance is bordered by an angular swimming pool flanked by large, cosy sun loungers and two canopied lounge beds with picturesque, flowing white curtains. An outdoor lounge space faces onto a pool bar and the outdoor dining space.”

Regarding the 26 rooms and suites of Livin Mykonos, Marissa Telaja refers to their amenities, including the doors with blackout curtains that lead onto a balcony. “The only difference in the higher room levels is space and bed size. Deluxe rooms can sleep three (one on a sofabed), while Junior and Deluxe Suites are open-plan.”

Livin Mykonos is set off a small road in Drafaki, east of Mykonos Town, in the newest developed spot in the area, surrounded by fields, some local houses and churches, and a distant sea view. “The hotel is a 20-minute walk (one mile) from Mykonos Town, where the most popular attractions of the island are located, including the Myknonos Windmills, Little Venice, shopping options and nightlife. Two nearby beaches include Megali Ammos and Ornos Beach.”
