The blue of the sea unites as one with that of the sky at the end of the horizon. This is the exact point that the sailing boats are trying to reach. To touch the infinite, to make possible what seems impossible. For the participants, air becomes an ally and saltiness a habit. For them, the sea is their whole world and winning is their only aim. Teamwork, sportsmanship, love for the sea and courteous competition are the winning elements. In any case, all participants are considered winners.

This year's Aegean Rally consists of a series of four offshore races, both starting and finishing at the bay of Faliro and stopping over at various islands. Since the opening of the famous battleship AVEROF as a naval museum, its mooring location in Paleo Faliro has been selected as the staring point of the races. This magnificent annual regatta, not only highlights the beauty of the Greek islands but also the rich naval tradition of Greece.

The 2013 rally route includes stops at the islands of Syros, Patmos, Koufonisia and Cape Sounio and the regatta is planned to end on July 29th with the Prize Giving Ceremony and the grand reception hosted at the Aegean Naval Command in Piraeus.
