Goulandri Museum: Sunday outing for the whole family

For 3 consecutive Sundays within February, we go to the Goulandris Natural History Museum for a free guide to “Nature’s Secrets”.

The Museum was established in 1965 in order to boost the public’s interest as far as the need of the protection of wildlife in Greece is concerned, which unfortunately is in grave danger of extinction. It also has a complementary role of an educational establishment and holds an interesting programme of seminars and lectures.

It exhibits rich collections which cover all categories of the Greek flora and fauna, as well as, a large selection of fossils and gemstones. The Museum additionally hosts exhibitions on a regular basis and thematic guides carried out by its team of specialized scientists.  

The programme of guided tours for the month of February begins this upcoming Sunday the 10th and includes the following themes :

- Sunday 10th of February / The sea world & the magic of biodiversity
- Sunday 17th of February / Reptiles, the ancestors of Dinosaurs
- Sunday 24th of February / The wonderful world of plants & the uniqueness of the Greek flora

The guides take place between 11.00 and 12.00 am and between 12.30 and 13.30 pm.
Entrance fee : Adults / 6€ , children and teenagers up to 18 / 4€
Participation to the guided tours for February are free of charge.

The Goulandris Natural History Museum is located at 13 Levidou street in the area of Kifissia.
