Two of Trésor Hotels & Resorts' chefs among the 10 best young chefs in 2016

Two of Trésor Hotels & Resorts’ chefs are in the list with the 10 young chefs that made a difference in 2016, according the the editors’ team of Athens Voice free press. More specifically, Stamatis Marmarinos, Poseidonion Grand Hotel’s chef on Spetses island, and Thodoris Papanikolaou, Selene Restaurant’s chef on Pyrgos of Santorini, won a place in the top 10 young chefs in Greece of the last year.

Stamatis Marmarinos, the chef of Poseidonion’s On The Verandah Restaurant, climbed up to the 3rd place of the list. The breathtaking view from the verandah, the aromas of the herbs of the island, the freshness of the vegetables from the farm of Poseidonion and the childhood memories of favorite traditional summer recipes, were last year’s inspiration for Stamatis Marmarinos.

Selene Restaurant on Pyrgos of Santorini has transformed the island into a unique gastronomic destination. Thodoris Papanikolaou creates unique dishes of Greek cuisine and combines tradition with modern elements. Selene Restaurant continues its modernist approach on Greek cuisine and Selene Meze & Wine which operates as a taverna, is a simpler all-day approach with mostly traditional dishes and exclusively Santorini wines from all the island's producers.
