Poseidonion Grand Hotel’s On the Verandah gourmet restaurant was awarded at the Greek Gastronomy Awards 2016, while the restaurant’s chef, Stamatis Marmarinos was entitled as new talented chef of the year!

The inaugural season of Stamatis Marmarinos chef in «Poseidonion Grand» renewed the gastronomic proposals of the emblematic hotel of Spetses, with a Greek modern, personal and multidimensional cuisine, as well as the powerful element of localization. "The Seafood" with Trachia’s manestra, grouper cheeks, mussels and sea urchin was declared as the restaurant’s top plate.

On The Verandah offers creative contemporary Greek cuisine infused with local gastronomic traditions and ingredients. The menu strikes the perfect balance between the familiar and the fresh, with dishes like ‘broken pastitsio’ subtly tweaked with the addition of feta and a pinch of marjoram or a Greek salad that swaps strawberries for tomatoes. The sea-front dining rooms is steeped in the old-world grace with soaring ceilings and soft curve-backed chairs that complement the wrought iron balustrades on the magnificent terrace. Soft lighting adds to the understated elegance, indoors and out, as the stunning setting both competes with and complements the superb cuisine.
