Trekking & Rafting sessions in mountainous Arcadia: It is not just extreme...its magic

This weekend we are going trekking and rafting in mountainous Arcadia. Those are just two of the extreme activities provided by Trekking Hellas to those who are ready for some adrenalin pumping!

Our weekends are not boring any more...From now on we spend our weekends trekking down the gorge of river Loussios. Our route is to reach the area of Ancient Gortina and from there on, to make it to Nea Moni Filosofou (Filosofou monastery)...This is where our trekking experience starts. Our adventure in the area’s rich nature should last about 2,5 hours and will include stops and visits to monasteries and other points of interest. With us, we will certainly have the expertly trained mountain ‘companions’ who will lead the way. (Minimum participants 6 persons. Cost: 17 euro per person)

Our extreme weekend does not end after our trek in the nature. It goes on with a rafting session down the rivers Loussios and Alfios!

Our destination is to reach village Maratha (or Vlachorafti as it is otherwise called). We will be meeting at Trekking Arcadia headquarters in the county of Arcadia and from there on our adventure will commence in the cold waters of rivers Loussios and Alfios. You don’t need to have done this before! Rafting down will take us about 2 hours and a surpise be Trekking Arcadia will be expecting us at the point of finish! The rafting session has a lot of extras and we will be provided with all necessary equipment. Needless to mention that with us at all times, the trained river leaders who will take care of our safety and fun. (Cost: 35 euro per person + an optional 5 euro for a meal after the session).

To enrich our weekend further, why not stay at Archontiko Kaltezioti hotel? After our extreme sport sessions this is where we will find the relaxation that we need. Apart from the beauties of the hotel itself, this is where we will discover the beauties of Vitina village. One of the numerous ‘treasures’ of the county of Arcadia...
