Thοse are the two Greek islands where Vogue editors are holidaying this summer

Those Greek islands are small, ideal for “island-hopping, and perfect for visiting with family, friends or even solo, writes Verity Parker, editor of the British Vogue.

In a recent article entitled “Where the Vogue editors are holidaying this summer”, the fashion editors of the famous magazine claim that Europe is the “the unequivocal holiday destination of choice this year”. Among other European famous destinations, such as Ibiza, Cote d’Azur, Puglia, Marbella and Amalfi, Vogue’s editors also choose the islands of Hydra and Spetses. As Verity Parker mentions, they are “small by comparison to some of their sister islands, which makes island-hopping all the more easy.” What is more, for a luxurious stay in Spetses, Vogue suggests Poseidonion Grand Hotel, precious member of Trésor Hotels & Resorts on the island, as the “absolute must”. “Stunning sea views, opulent rooms and a large pool and spa to ensure ultimate luxury.”

As far as shopping in Hydra and Spetses is concerned, Vogue’s editor suggests the “simple tourist shops that line the harbours of both islands, as well as the little supermarkets behind in the cobbled shady streets, with baskets of fresh, local fruit and vegetables for beachside snacks.”

For food, the article insists on “fish, fish and more fish”. “If you're not a fish eater the selection of fresh salads is extensive and delicious. Meat eaters should definitely indulge in a delicious souvlaki.”

Last but not least, swimming every day is something you can’t leave without doing, when in Hydra and Spetses, according to Vogue. “The sea is divine, especially after a long walk (there's no cars on either island) refresh with a dip at the end.”
