Nerantzia’s Castle

It was built by the Knights of the Order of St. John in the early 15th century with materials from ancient buildings. Along with the St. Peter Knights Castle, it controlled the narrow sea passage between ancient Bodrum and Kos.

Knightly Residence of Governor Francesco Sans

Built in 1514 by the Governor of Kos, Fransesco Sans, it is the only saved secular building from the chivalrous period in Kos. It is located in Akti Miaouli.

Hippocrates Plane Tree

Visit the centenarian plane tree, in the shade of which, according to tradition, Hippocrates used to teach his students.

Mosque of Gazi Hasan Pasha of Loggia

It was built by Gazi Hassan Pasha of Loggia in 1786. Part of its construction was made by material taken from the ruins of the ancient city. Meanwhile, its fountain lies in the shade of Hippocrates’ Plane Tree.

Ancient Market

One of the greatest archaeological sites, with buildings dating from the Hellenistic to Medieval times.
