The running waters overshadow any other sound, the impressive mountains of Evrytania attract your gaze, the fireplace warms you up, your glasses are filled by the local berry drink, as the traveler tastes local delicacies... Whether you are at a luxury guesthouse, or in a humble cafe of a village, hospitality and pleasures are equal in Evritania.

Clinging to the slopes of Helidonas and Kaliakouda, about ten villages surround the river of Karpenisiotis, forming the most famous route of 30 km., starting from Karpenisi and ending in Prousos and the Monastery of Prousiotissa. One of the most beautiful and convenient settlements to stay is Megalo Horio, just in between the route.

Many of the stone houses have been restored and the walk to the center and in the upper neighborhood is interesting. There you can visit the interesting Folklore Museum, shop local products and enjoy hot drinks and delicious pastries in the cafes of “Kyra Paraskevi” or “Paramythi”. You can walk to both paths, either to Kefalovriso or follow the scenic route to the slopes of Kaliakouda fir-covered slopes, which leads to the shelter.

For your stay, choose Anerada Inn.
