Perhaps it is one of the few times that the “after” is considered more fitting than the “before”. We are talking about Plastiras Lake, the absolute destination in Karditsa that unfolds its beauty at the shadow of the Thessalian Agrafa.

Undoubtedly, it is one of the most touristic lakes in Greece. For years, it has been one of the most desirable destinations for couples, groups, nature, trekking and hiking lovers and religious tourists.

Plastiras Lake is also ideal for food lovers, as well as for the hunters of the off road routes. The ones that have already visited it, are planning to go there once again, and whoever hasn’t been there, has already planned to do it. It is said to be at its best during summer months, but it is also an ideal destination for all year round. At sunset, it gets gold, at the cold mornings it gets frozen, at spring it becomes flowery.

The round of the lake reaches 65 km. The most touristic villages is the amphitheatrically built Neochori and the lakeside Kalyvia Pezoulas. The two beaches of Pezoula and Lamberos are facing one another.

Perched on the eastern side of Agrafa (west of the lake) we can enjoy the best views of the water and especially at the “Paratiritirio”, a small quiosk that is easily detected if we follow the signs.
